You may not believe this, but I DO occasionally visit my DA page and - even more impressively - I DO post new art as well! HOLY SHIT!!! What is this world coming to?!?

Thing is I don't do it all the time, and more often than not I find that my "real world" problems take so much of my energy and attention that I'm not making with the pretty pictures as often as I used to do. As such I'm not going to promise a date, or "soon" or anything like that when it comes to getting work up here. It will happen, and as often as I can make it happen, so bare with me and by all means continue to stop by and like my work and make comments and offer me a little ego stroke now and again so I know that people really do enjoy the work I produce. Gets kinda lonely when it seems like no one pays much attention to the art or the man behind the pen.  ;)

I love your Batman artwork and original style.

I hope you don't mind me asking what influenced your style?

Oh, I don't mind you asking. One of the most common questions asked of nearly any artist really. Short answer:

I'm self taught, never went to school to do what I do. I studied the art of other people that I liked (cartoons I watched, comics I read, etc) and learned how to draw by imitating that art. Over time those many other artists led me to "squash & stretch" their styles into something more my own. This also gave me the ability to mimic nearly any other style I see turning me into something like an artistic chameleon.

If you're looking for names they'd be:

Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Bill Waterson, Berkley Breathed, Chris Giarrusso, Phil Yeh, many many many other wonderfully talented famous artists as well as an insurmountable mass of my artistic friends (famous and struggling) to vast to list here. If you'd like a detailed list ask. When I have time I'll send it to ya. ;)

I'm sorta learning like that. The problem I have most trouble with though is choosing which style to start with.

I'm familiar with some of the artists you've mentioned.

And as a matter of fact I would like a list of artists you'd recomend. :D

Thanks for replying, I hope we become good friends fellow artist! :highfive:
